MAKE A DIFFERENCE OVER DINNER
13th May – 21st May
They key to change is conversation;
The more we talk about the things that make us uncomfortable the easier it becomes to actually do something about it. Dementia and depression affect the lives of millions of people but many still find it difficult to talk about these subjects with their friends and family.
South East and Central Essex Mind and Peaceful Place have teamed together for this unique campaign to raise funds and awareness for these common yet often taboo causes. Want to help? It’s easier than you think. We are asking people to host a dinner party where they can talk about depression and dementia in an open and supportive environment.
Treat your guests to some food for dinner and some food for thought, encouraging open and candid conversation. At the end of your night your guests can call for the bill and make their payment in the form of a donation to be split evenly between the two local charities, helping to make a difference to those living with dementia and depression.
Thank you for your support and bon appétit!
