Somewhere To Turn is an invaluable early intervention service funded purely by your kind donations and fundraising.

We operate from a needs led approach, with our trained and experienced team working with you during an initial appointment to help identify your needs.

We can cover various mental health or wellbeing topics including trauma, stress and anxiety, loneliness and isolation.

Appropriate support is then offered on a case-by-case basis, depending on you as an individual and tailored to suit you best. Options could include using our 1-2-1 counselling service, support groups or psychoeducational support sessions.

By giving a donation or becoming a regular giver, you can help us keep this service running and allow us to reach more local people in need.

South East and Central Essex Mind serve the Chelmsford, Castle Point, Rochford, South Woodham Ferrers and Southend areas helping support local people with their mental health and wellbeing needs.

We are now facing a mental health crisis, the pandemic has seen an unprecedented increase in the number of cases being referred to us, covering subjects such as trauma, stress, anxiety, loneliness and isolation. According to a report by National Mind,

around 1 in 3 people say their mental health has got ‘much worse’ since March 2020.

Early support is vital to helping reduce the long term impact on what is already a difficult and distressing time for us all. Being able to access support through Somewhere To Turn and reducing financial barriers through a funded service is vital to us reaching those who are most vulnerable. Join the fight for mental health by supporting you Local Mind Charity,  South East and Central Essex Mind.

We rely on our amazing community to raise vital funds to help us keep doing the work we do, in fact, we can’t do it without your help!
