Your donation can help make a difference.

Local Minds like us are actually separate registered charities from National Mind, and while we have similar aims and values, we fulfil different roles. Money donated to National Mind does not help fund your local mental health services.

We rely entirely on fundraising and your kind donations to help run our services and our work in the community. Every penny raised for SECE Mind helps us make a difference to people’s lives.

Why not become a Regular Donor?

By giving a donation each month, you can help make a real difference.
Regular gifts via direct debit give us predicable income so we can commit to helping more people across South East and Central Essex.

A monthly gift adds up quickly and you can give as little as £2 a month.
It’s quick and simple to start, and you can stop at any time.

Why Donate?

1 in 4 people will experience a mental health problem at some point in their lives.

The charity sector is vitally important in their recovery.
For many people, they cannot access services anywhere else.
Mental health is more important than ever, and services are experiencing an increase in demand as we continue to navigate the pandemic and it’s long term effects.

How your money helps!

A gift of £100 could…

  • Help fund 3 hours worth of counselling for a child or young person in need

  • Allow us to run 2 Group Therapy Sessions for adults using our services

  • Print 50 Leaflets to help raise mental health awareness in the community

  • Go towards supporting someone recovering from a mental health crisis at our Supported Housing facility

Did you know you can also give donations via PayRoll?

Giving through your payroll is very tax effective because donations are deducted before you pay tax. For example, if you donate £10, only £8 comes out of your salary and the taxman pays the rest.

By giving from your salary each payday, you will be helping provide vital resources and services for those experiencing mental health issues in South East and Central Essex. Your regular donations are valuable because they help us budget effectively and plan ahead. Take a look the link below to find out more about ‘CAF Give As You Earn’.

You can also give a donation via post or donate directly into our bank. To give a BACS transfer, please contact us online or call us on 01702 601123.

To send via post, please address donations to:
FAO: Fundraising
South East and Central Essex Mind
Jubilee Centre 112a Southchurch Road
Southend-on-Sea
Essex SS1 2LX

Please ensure cheques are made payable to ‘South East and Central Essex Mind’ or ‘SECE Mind’ to ensure we are able to deposit your kind donation.
Please do include a note so we know where your donation has come from and a contact number or email so we can thank you properly. Thank you.
