‘If this speaks to you, speak to us’ MHAW Campaign

This year’s Mental Health Awareness Week is taking place on 9 - 15 May 2022.

This year, National Mind are using spoken word to show the different ways people talk about their experiences.

If this speaks to you, speak to us

We all experience and talk about mental health differently. But we aren’t always listened to. And we aren’t always represented.

That's why, this Mental Health Awareness Week, we’re using spoken word to show the different ways people talk about their experiences.

If you're going through a difficult time or are struggling with how you're feeling, we’re here for you.

As your Local Mind, South East and Central Essex Mind serve the Chelmsford, Castle Point, Rochford, South Woodham Ferrers and Southend areas helping support local people with their mental health and wellbeing needs. Although affiliated, we are a separately registered charity from ‘Mind’ and rely entirely on fundraising and your kind donations to fund our local mental health services.

As part of our work as your local mental health charity, we have recently launched ‘Somewhere To Turn’, a free local service available for anyone 18+ experiencing mental health challenges and looking for support.

Somewhere To Turn is an invaluable early intervention service funded purely by your kind donations and fundraising.

Please consider supporting our charity this Mental Health Awareness Week to help  ensure the future of our local services and allow us to reach more people in our community.

Give a donation now

By getting involved during Mental Health Awareness Week, you can not only raise important awareness, but also vital funds for SECE Mind to ensure everyone has easy access to mental health support.

We are now facing a mental health crisis, the pandemic has seen an unprecedented increase in the number of cases being referred to us, covering subjects such as trauma, stress, anxiety, loneliness and isolation. According to a report by National Mind,

around 1 in 3 people say their mental health has got ‘much worse’ since March 2020.

Early support is vital to helping reduce the long term impact on what is already a difficult and distressing time for us all. Being able to access support through Somewhere To Turn and reducing financial barriers through a funded service is vital to us reaching those who are most vulnerable. Join the fight for mental health by fundraising for South East and Central Essex Mind this Mental Health Awareness Week.

We rely on our amazing community to raise vital funds to help us keep doing the work we do, in fact, we can’t do it without your help! There are lots of ways to get involved - Why not hold a bake sale, dress up in blue for a day or hold a competition or raffle? You can also support us through payroll giving or by becoming a regular donor. For more ideas visit our fundraising page secemind.org.uk/fundraising
