Counselling, often known as 'talking therapy', provides skilled listening in a safe and confidential environment. This will enable discussion of sensitive issues which can emerge over time in an atmosphere of trust. We work within the ethical framework of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.


This is a paid service and a nominal fee will need to be paid to access this service contact us for further details of costs.  We offer 'short term' counselling tailored to your needs.


Counselling can help if you are experiencing:

  • Anxiety issues and Generalised Anxiety Disorder

  • Depression

  • Confidence and Self-Esteem issues

  • Bereavement

  • Pre, Peri and Post-natal depression

  • Anger management issues

  • Phobias

  • Relationship problems (Please note we do not offer couples counselling)

  • Work-related Stress

  • Issues linked to identifying as LGBT

  • A clinically-diagnosed mental health condition such as Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia and Personality Disorders.

  • Self-harm

  • Recovery from substance misuse issues

  • Obsessive Compulsive Disorder

  • Eating Disorders


Our Counselling is primarily delivered in our Jubilee Centre in Southend but can also be offered to businesses and organisation in-house if the right setting is available.

During current Lockdown restrictions, we are also offering remote counselling services.
