Please join us in wishing local mental health ambassador, Emma Crampton the very best of luck as she prepares to take on the Ironman Barcelona competition this October. This is no small feat and will see Emma swim 2.5 miles, cycle 112 miles and run 26.2 miles in an incredible effort to raise funds for South East and Central Essex Mind. This is a subject close to Emma’s heart as she herself has battled anxiety and depression over the years and is keen to support others who may be experiencing the same things.

“We are truly inspired by what Emma has chosen to do,” says Fundraising and Communications Manager, Kristina Stazaker “she is taking on an incredible challenge here in both body and mind and it is a testament to her incredible will and caring nature. Everyone at mind is rooting for her and we cannot wait to see how incredibly well she performs in October.” If Emma’s story has inspired you then please remember that you can also fundraise for SECE Mind and you needn’t go all the way to Barcelona to do it.
