Public Health Southend are running flexible 6 week activity programme for busy working adults throughout the summer. Free Health walks and low cost 'have a go' sessions of Yoga, Tai Chi, Pilates, Boxercise and more - This is the perfect opportunity to try something new and make the most of utilising exercise and the outdoors to help improve our mental wellbeing.
Move Out is a programme of fun, fitness and relaxation sessions in our fabulous open spaces. The programme aims to encourage working age adults who live or work in the Southend Borough to get outdoors and make the most of Southend’s local parks. You can try new activities, meet new people or just join in with your colleagues.
When was the last time you did the egg and spoon race or played rounders? Always wanted to try Tai Chi or have a go at hula hooping but didn’t know where to go?
The programme is led by Public Health and the Council’s Sports and Leisure team. The fun and informal sessions will be delivered by experienced instructors.
If you pay in advance the costs are discounted and you get the 6th week for free. You can come along to the launch and pay. Or if you want to pay on the day ask for a loyalty card and get your 6th session for free that way.
Places may be limited for some activities so booking ahead is essential to avoid disappointment. Keep up to date with activities and changes due to the weather on Public Health Southend Facebook page.
