World Mental Health Day 2020 is the most important one yet.
This year, we are working with National Mind to bring everyone together to mark World Mental Health Day on 10 October and to 'Do One Thing'.
This year in the run up to WMHD, we will be holding a special 2 hours session for Chelmsford City Council on 8th October titled “Moving On in the Covid-19 Environment”.
This course aims is to provide a supportive event which will enable participants to discuss, should they wish to, their experiences and perhaps challenges in lockdown and feelings and challenges too as lockdown has eased.
Accepting that this is the ‘new normal’ for now, this event is to recognise sources of anxiety; discuss coping strategies and give time for some action planning on how to maintain resilience over the coming months as we get used to a more usual routine.
· To provide a supportive space with a trained professional to enable an exploration of sources of anxiety
· To understand coping strategies to maintain resilience such as good habits around exercise, staying in touch with friends and family and how colleagues can help build a supportive work environment.
· To action plan to ensure that strategies can be maintained over the coming months.
· To take time to reflect on actions to take if we notice that feelings are becoming overwhelming.
Our charity has been working with Chelmsford City Council for a number of years; we are looking forward to holding this event with them to help continue to support the wellbeing of their members.
