Jubilee Centre

The building work on our Jubilee Centre has now been completed and the centre is fully open for business.
The Jubilee Centre offers a single point of information, dealing with all aspects of mental health, or related issues and acts as a comprehensive ‘One Stop Community Resource’ working collaboratively with a range of organisations.
The centre offers;
-
Information, Advice and Guidance
-
Counselling Rooms
-
Advocacy
-
Day Activities space
-
A range of other community based activities
The Jubilee Centre is an environment where an individual will feel comfortable to interview with one of our staff, who will assess their needs and if required, book them in to meet one of our counsellors or to signpost them on to relevant local services.
The Jubilee Centre has four main areas, these include the Main Reception, an open and welcoming environment where people can just walk in and pick up information on local mental health services, as well as a waiting area for individuals waiting for an appointment.
We have two Activity Rooms which can be used for meetings, training sessions or therapy sessions. The new additions to the Jubilee Centre are the five Counselling Suites. These suites have been designed to deliver small meetings, advocacy or counselling. Two of the rooms have been designed to accommodate wheelchairs or can be used for couples’ counselling sessions. Each counselling suite is fitted with a Panic Alarm System which is responded to by our staff, and the public areas are covered by a CCTV System. Also available on request are Flipchart/Pens/Paper, Overhead Projector, Hearing Loop and Wi-Fi Access.
For more information, or to arrange to come and have a look around the centre, please give us a ring on 01702 601123.
The five Counselling Rooms are suitable for ‘One-to-One’ counselling sessions, advocacy and small meetings. Two of the counselling rooms are suitable for couples or for clients in wheelchairs.
We also offer access to:
-
photocopying (for single items, larger print runs can be arranged),
-
flipchart
The Initial Enquiry Service, offers individuals who are unsure what help and support they need can meet with one of our staff, who will work through a short assessment process before they are signposted to a service offered within the Jubilee Centre or to other local services. We have already dealt with over 900 individuals, 40% of whom walked into the Jubilee Centre off the street and were supported by a member of the team in a face-to-face “needs assessment”, the remainder being signposted to other local services.
For those individuals with more complex needs, we will arrange an appointment with one of our staff who will undertake a more detailed assessment.
