Mental Health Training
South East and Central Essex Mind is committed to the provision of high quality mental health services, to raising awareness of mental health and reducing the stigma attached to mental ill health. To achieve this we have developed a range of innovative training courses which act as an introduction to mental health as well as to the support which is available.
Basic Mental Health Training (MH1)
A one day workshop for Health, Social and Education frontline staff, offering an introduction to mental health issues for service providers in Health, Social and Educational facilities.
Participants will:

Gain an understanding of mental health diagnosis

Recognise signs and symptoms of mental ill health
-
Be able to approach someone with mental health problems

Be aware of local service providers and where to signpost an individual with mental health problems.
Cost: £100 per person, includes handouts and completion certificate, and refreshments (lunch not included).
Intermediate Mental Health Training (MH2)
A one day workshop following on from the Basic Mental Health Training, for Health, Social and Education staff, who attended the Basic Mental Health Training (MH1) or have some experience in mental health and require further knowledge and skills in relation to contemporary mental health issues.
Cost: £100 per person, includes handouts and completion certificate, and refreshments (lunch not included).
Participants will:

Have an advanced knowledge of contemporay mental health issues

Have developed an understanding of Psycho/Pharmaco and therapeutic interventions

Be able to develop their skills in collaborative working with provider agencies.
