Mental health affects not only the individual, their children, partners and carers, but can also have a profound effect on extended families, friends and work colleagues
We all know someone who is living with a mental illness and your donation, no matter how large or small will all go towards the provision of high quality mental health services to people living in South East and Central Essex.
As well as making a donation, you can arrange for your friends, family or work colleagues to get together and organise and event. There are many things that you can do. Here are a few ideas…

Become A “Mind Star”
The aim of the Become a “Mind Star” campaign is for individuals to show their understanding and awareness of mental health by making a donation towards our work or by arranging an event to assist with the fundraising efforts. Anyone can become a “Mind Star” as an individual, a group or company.
The focus for our Become a “Mind Star” campaign is to raise much needed funds for our services. You can make your donation to one of our services or into general funds. For more information, please contact our Fundraising team on 01702 601123 or fundraising@SEandCEssexMind.org.uk.
There are a number of ways in which you can Become a “Mind Star”, these include…
Organise, take part or attend an event
Leave a gift
Get your workplace involved / Corporate Sponsorship
Donate unwanted gifts
Donate while shopping on line
To organise your own fundraising event, contact Holli or Pippa, our Community and Event Fundraisers on 01702 601123 or email them at fundraising@SEandCEssexMind.org.uk who would be happy to assist.
We promote events on Social Media via the South East and Central Essex Mind’s Facebook and Twitter pages to engage with people, getting them to share the link with their friends and welcome pictures of your event which we can post on these pages.
So why not follow us and show your awareness by share our information with your family and friends.

If you would like to make a regular donation download a standing order form or contact us on fundraising@SEandCEssexMind.org.uk and we can help.
Organise , take part or attend an event

From a cream tea afternoon to a sponsored tandem skydive to walking over hot coals or a quiz night - whatever you think you could do to help us make that difference. We have numerous fundraising events throughout the year for you to take part in or if you plan your own fundraiser we will support you every step of the way. There are websites specifically for fundraising, details further down the page.
Leave a gift
Imagine a world where everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets the help and support they need. To make this happen we need your help. If you left us a gift of 1% of your estate in your will to South East and central Essex Mind, that will go a long way to helping to improve the provision of mental health.
The combined generosity of people who remember South East and Central Essex Mind with a gift will helps us to achieve something truly amazing. Just give our fundraising team a call on 01702 601123 and we can talk you through the process.
Get your workplace involved / Corporate sponsorship

Getting your staff involved in a fundraising event is one way of raising your staff moral and doing something good for the local community. You could organise a dress down day, a coffee morning, a bake sale or get a group together to take part in one of our fundraising activities as a team? Whatever you feel fits you and your colleagues we would love your support. Please contact fundraising@SEandCEssexMind.org.uk.
Donate unwanted gifts or freebies
Gifts in kind are also very much appreciated so if you feel you could provide gifts for us to raffle, or can make a donation towards the cost of us running an event, please get in touch. Then there is that fab freebie you got thanks to your phone company giving items away, but you really don’t have use for it. Donate them to us to allow us to raise funds from the proceeds. We are looking for gift boxes / jewellery / toiletry collections in as new condition.
Donate while shopping online
easyfundraising is a really easy way for people to online shop at over 2000 stores and for us to receive a donation as a result of your purchase, at no cost to you the purchaser. It doesn’t cost anything to sign up and will bring in small regular donations to us, so the more people that use it, the better!
Shops taking part include Tesco, Next, John Lewis, Argos, Premier Inn, Apple, EBay and M&S
